BOB TENNANT WINS 2008 MELGES 24 GOLD CUP TITLE

30 JUNE 2008 • The Melges 24 Gold Cup took place on June 27-29 in Long Beach, Calif. in conjunction with Ullman Sails Race Week 2008, hosted by the Long Beach Yacht Club and Alamitos Bay Yacht Club. Out on top of the fleet was Bob Tennant on 'Where's Bob'

Three races were ran on Friday, followed by an additional three for Saturday's wild, wet and windy fun, and a final race on Sunday making for seven race series Championship. Of the six Melges 24s competing, Tennant delivered an amazing solid bullet score from the first race, to the last, with George Roland on 'Karma' being his nearest competition. Kent Pierce/Eric Stokke placed third overall, just one slim point from second.
