BOB PISTAY WINS MELGES 24s DIVISION AT 2008 SPERRY TOP-SIDER SEATTLE NOOD REGATTA

21 MAY 2008 • Congratulations to Bob Pistay on his Fast Forward Melges 24 as he commanded the 17-strong Melges 24 Class at the Sperry Top-Sider Seattle NOOD.

Although this was the first NOOD Regatta for Seattle, the fleet looked as though they were pros to sailing the area. Other Seattle natives Matt MacGregor on The Bacon Syndicate and David Brede on 12HappyThoughts rounding out the top three. Pistay's biggest worry was MacGregor as he finished one slim point ahead to take the win. Brede delivered a satisfying performance with a consistent 3-3-2-2-8 to hang on comfortably in third. Rounding out the top five were Andy Mack on Quick P from Hood River Yacht Club in fourth, and in fifth was Dan Kaselar from Port Angeles.
