NOR, SIs AND REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE 2007 HEART CUP

©2007 JOY Advertising | US Melges 24 Class Association 11 JULY 2007 • The NOR, SI's and Registration form for the 30 th annual Ocean City Yacht Club Heart Cup Regatta is now available online - http://www.ocyc.org/heartCup.php. Registration forms may be mailed in or faxed to 609-927-0019 and the entry fee is tax deductible! Be sure to register by July 24th to avoid the late entry fee. The 2006 Heart Cup was a huge success and the 2007 Heart Cup promises to be even better. This year the Heart Cup will also be the third event in a four-event series for the Melges24 Northeast District Championship trophy. Originally launched as Atlantic City Race Week, the Heart Cup remains New Jersey's premier offshore regatta. For three days some of the region's best sailors compete in both class and handicap fleet racing. Even more impressive then keen competition is the hundreds of thousands of dollars that have been raised for Heart related charities over the years. The Heart Ball has become Ocean City's charity event of the summer. There will be a Commodore's reception accompanying the on-site registration and check-in Thursday, 2 August from 1700-1900. Seven races are scheduled for the Melges 24 class, with the first warning signal sounding at 1100 Friday morning. OCYC pulls out all the stops for this event and has planned a BBQ buffet Friday night at the club followed by the Heart Cup dinner and dance party Saturday night. Awards will be held on Sunday following the racing. Based on the Northeast District survey conducted over the winter, 15+ boats are expected to attend this event.
