STEVE KOPF LEADS THE SE MELGES 24 CIRCUIT SERIES

07 JUNE 2007 • For more almost a decade, the Melges 24 has celebrated incredible success throughout the Southeast region. A constant reminder is the very competitive Southeast Circuit Racing Series. Seven named events make up the series. With three events completed and more than fifty teams competing Steve Kopf on 'Blur' on Isle of Palms, South Carolina is leading the charge.

Right behind, following in second place is none other than Scott Gregory on 'Team Satisfaction' from Marietta, Georgia In third is Mike Krantz on 'Lamorak' from Flowery Branch, Georgia.

Four major Southeast events remain — The Gold Cup in Charleston (August 18-19); WFORC/Gulf Coast Championship in Pensacola (October 13-14); Melbourne Race Week in Melbourne (October 27-28); and last but not least the Atlantic Coast Championship/King's Day Regatta in Jacksonville (November 16-18). At the end, a new champion will be crowned and their name will be added to the a long distinguished list of past champions.
