UPCOMING MELGES 24 EVENTS IN ANNAPOLIS, NEXT NE DISTRICT SERIES EVENT

11 MAY 2007 • With the Sperry Top-Sider Annapolis NOODs now behind us and AYC's Wednesdsay Night Racing series underway, it's clear the sailing season is in full swing with summer just around the corner. June is but a few short weeks away and brings three (3) one design events for theAnnapolis Melges 24 fleet, two of which are recent additions to the local Melges one design circuit.

On June 9th is EYC's One Design Classic regatta, followed by the Leukemia Cup Regatta* the next weekend on June 16th. Saturday, June 23rd provides the fleet with a start in the AYC Annual Regatta.DOWNLOAD A NOTICE OF RACE

Next stop on the NE District Championship Series schedule is the Newport Regatta - July 14-15 - hosted by Sail Newport. NOR, online entry and a schedule of events is currently available at:

NE District members and fleet captains - please feel free to distribute and share any local events and goings on to keep all Melges 24 owners and sailors abreast. There has been many new Melges 24 owners new to the NE District the past year, so let's welcome them into the family and share our event listing to encourage travel and participation.

* In 2006, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provided $43 million to over 400 researchers around the world, including 13 researchers and 4 institutions in Maryland. Funds raised stay in Maryland for local programs of research, patient aid, education, and to increase awareness of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission. The total amount raised by the Maryland Chapter in the 2006 Leukemia Cup for research was $218,875.
