13 DECEMBER 2006 • For those of you who are ready for the holidays to be over, so you can get back to racing the Southeast region is full of individuals looking to plan and organize regattas for tuning to Key West Race Week. A great example is Tom Single, who has circulated a message that the Davis Island Yacht Club is currently promoting their Commodore's Cup Regatta on 6-7 January. He has spoken with the regatta management team and they are willing to offer the class a one design fleet start — providing that five or more boats commit to the event. As it stands, more than that has committed and they are looking for more participation, as much as they can possibly get. The racing is set to take place in Tampa Bay and is sure to be a great deal of fun.
For more information on this regatta please see the Notice of Race (NOR) on the DIYC web site. You can also contact Tom direct via phone at 863-860-6796. |
