| REID COLLINS WINS MELGES 24 WFORC REGATTA | |||
After a few Bushwackers at the Pensacola Yacht Club bar, the teams headed over to LeAnne Pickering's house who has hosted the Saturday party for the M24s at WFORC for the past several years. A big thank you goes out to her and former M24 sailor, Doug Kessler for putting on this awesome party on once again. On Sunday, the teams arrived on the course with 15-20 mph breezes that seemed to persistently go right as the day progressed. Racing was extremely tight between the top 5-6 boats, but Jeff Lindheim and his crew on Beer Goggles from New Orleans ended up winning the daily trophy for Sunday. Desperate Measures managed to hang on to win the regatta. The M24 class would like to let PYC, race committee, LeAnne Pickering, Doug Kessler, and all other volunteers know how much we appreciate a great weekend! View FULL RESULTS . If you haven't already signed up, join the USMCA Southeast District Google Group. Read the latest news on the Southeast District on the US M24 website! In addition, the standings for the SE district have also been updated, these can also be found at the above referenced page/website. Lastly, as mentioned in a previous post, the Melbourne Fall Regatta is quickly approaching - October 27-29. This should prove to be a well attended regatta as many of the teams across the Southeast will be using this as a warmup for the US Nationals. Go online for more information on the Melbourne Regatta.
