GULF COAST M24 FLEET BATTLE IT OUT IN REGIONAL POINT STANDINGS

28 JUNE 2006 • The competition gets rough in the Gulf Coast waters as the teams face tough competition in the 2006 Regional Points Standings. Leading the pack is Matt Mayo on Trick Monkey in first; Scott Holmgren and his Rosebud crew has developed a competitive bite hanging in for second overall and fighting the fierce fight, tied for third is Bryan Bayerdroffer on Coldshot, and Rick Mallison on Speedemon at thirteen points each.

After three incredible events, we have three more to go - the Corpus Christy Regatta in Corpus Christy, Texas in August; the Galveston/Texas NOOD in September and then last but not least, the Leukemia Cup in Austin, Texas in October. With the hopeful clear skies and warm summer winds greeting these venues, we hope to see all nine boats at the next three events, making the competition one of the toughest and most entertaining Melges 24 points challenges of the year.
