2006 U.S. MELGES 24 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, NOVEMBER 16-18

17 MAY 2006 • The U.S. Melges 24 Class Association in coordination with the Florida Yacht Club proudly announce a change in date and event format for the 2006 U.S. Melges 24 National Championship. The regatta, set to take place in Jacksonville, Florida at the oldest yacht club in Florida, will be held on November 16-18. Three days of incredible racing and the absolute best in hospitality, food, drink and ceremony are planned for the final event of the year.

In an effort to make this already outstanding event, even more incredible the following schedule of events is presented:

Registration, Rigging, Weigh-In, Measurement and Practice Racing

NOVEMBER 15, WEDNESDAY

NOVEMBER 16, THURSDAY
Morning Breakfast and Skipper's Meeting

NOVEMBER 17, FRIDAY

NOVEMBER 18, SATURDAY

Formal Dinner and Awards Banquet with Live Music

NOVEMBER 19, SUNDAY
Haul Out, Travel Day

In 2005, this regatta - most famously known as the King's Day Regatta drew a record fifty-six entries and this year we anticipate reaching that same number if not more. All european and international teams are especially invited as this is the beginning of the 2007 racing circuit. The Florida Yacht Club takes care of the M24s in style. FYC will be offering secure boat storage available for the Melges 24s planning on attending KWRW 2007. Special room and accommodation rates will be available for all participants.
