Get ready for some great Lowcountry racing!

The Charleston Yacht Club is pleased to host the Charleston Harbor Challenge from September 18-20. This event is an exclusive Melges 24 regatta and has been planned as a feeder event to the 2009 M24 World Championship. It is also part of the 2009 Quantum Sails Southeast Championship Series.

This summer, fantastic seabreezes have been building into the 15-20 knot range just about every afternoon and September is always windy! Hal Smith has committed as the PR) which means guaranteed great racing. Chris Hamilton is the social chairman for the event and he is planning a great party as soon as racing concludes on Saturday at the club. We have also arranged dockage at the Charleston City Marina (just in front of ChYC) and this cost is included in the registration fee.

We already have 10+ boats committed and hope to have a total of 15-20 boats. So put this event on your calendar and we hope to see you soon!

If you have questions or need to arrange storage after the event, please contact USMCA Southeast District Governor Steve Kopf at (484) 459-8200 or at skopf@peventuresllc.com
