The Notice of Race (NOR) is now available for the 2012 Davis Island YC (DIYC) Melges 24 Invitational on Nov 17 - 18. The NOR is also available on DIYC's Website with a link to online registration in the next several days. The early registration deadline is Friday, Nov 9th.

DIYC can accommodate boat storage until their December 15-16 Regatta for anyone that would like to come back and race then as well. Long term storage options for boats wishing to do either KWRW and/or St. Pete NOODs are currently in progress.
Here is some additional, valuable and helpful information regarding hotels, rigging, and sail repair services, etc.
STORAGE
The club can accommodate boats arriving up to one week ahead of the event. If you plan to arrive early, please SE District Governor Rob Britts so he can notify the club. Several other local teams are planning to tune up Friday (Nov 16) if anyone would like to join. Look forward to enjoying beer on Friday after the skippers meeting and Saturday and Sunday after racing as well. A cash bar will be available during the event. On Saturday night, DIYC will host a shrimp or crawfish boil on the point at the club and encourage all teams to join us. Seven races are scheduled but also want to accommodate others traveling from the Mid-West, NE and CA and will have the last race starting no later than 2:30pm on Sunday. For those that plan to fly out Sunday, please contact Rob Britts so he knows what your travel plans are and if you need any help.

RIGGING AND SAIL REPAIR
For rigging and sail repair, there is a West Marine in South Tampa and also a much larger warehouse West Marine across in St Petersburg as well as several other rigging stores such as JSI, Masthead Enterprises, etc. and North Sails Gulf Coast that can accommodate any sail repairs if needed. If you need help with any of these during the event please do not hesitate to ask me.
